The log
Page views go to the custom log cms-pageviews, shown as Page views under Logs in the admin UI,
with graphs of its statistics. Its daily files are kept for 400 days, up to 2,000 MB in all.

visitorType is human, bot or unknown. The location columns are written only when
LogLocation is on and the country is known. Browser, operating system and device are written only
for visitors that are not bots. With LogBots off, the page views of bots are not recorded at all.
The CMS creates the log when it is missing. After that the log belongs to the database, and what you change in the admin UI, such as retention, statistics or removed columns, is kept.
