Setting up to develop plugins
You need:
- Node.js 20 or newer, which includes npm.
- An editor that knows TypeScript, such as Visual Studio Code, WebStorm or Rider.
- A browser with developer tools: Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
- A site to develop against: an ASP.NET Core app with
Relatude.DB.CMSthat serves the interface (AddApi(),MapRelatudeCmsApi()andMapRelatudeCmsUI(), chapter 17), an API key whose license includescms, and a user to sign in as. A copy of the site on your own computer is easiest. A test server also works, since the plugin is served from your computer either way.
The plugin itself needs no .NET. Run the commands below in a terminal in the plugin's folder.
