Creating a project
relatude new MyApp writes a complete application into ./MyApp. It writes source only and builds
nothing. --projecttype picks the kind of application:
| Type | What it writes | Suited for |
|---|---|---|
csharp_web_react_ts (default) |
Backend/, an ASP.NET Core minimal API on Relatude.DB, and Client/, a React + TypeScript + Vite app that calls it under /api |
Interactive web applications where a browser client talks to an API |
csharp_web_mvc |
One ASP.NET Core MVC project: controllers and Razor views rendered on the server, with a title and description per page | Content websites with page navigation and SEO, and no JavaScript build step |
Both need the .NET 10 SDK, and the React type also needs Node.js 20 or newer.
relatude new --list-types prints the same list, and --json makes it machine readable.
Each project has a README that says how to run it and where models, pages or endpoints go. Its
relatude.settings/relatude.db.json points at the MyApp.Models namespace, so every class you add
to the Models folder of the C# project becomes a node type.
--userand--passwordset the admin UI login. On localhost you can leave them out.--out <folder>writes somewhere other than./MyApp.--package-versionpins the Relatude.DB NuGet version. It defaults to the tool's own version. Keep the two the same, since the settings file is written for the tool's version.
